UST Reports Diluted Earnings Per Share of $3.23 for 2005

GREENWICH, Conn., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- UST Inc. (NYSE: UST) today announced that for the year ended Dec. 31, 2005, record results were achieved in net sales, net earnings and diluted earnings per share. Net sales for the twelve-month 2005 period increased 0.7 percent to $1.852 billion, net earnings increased 0.6 percent to $534.3 million and diluted earnings per share increased 1.3 percent to $3.23. ...
