The parking lot is empty. The sign on the door says “open” but gray mornings in late January and early February are slow times for visitors. In all likelihood, Plum Creek’s well-appointed tasting room won’t see any visitors until noon, at the earliest.

New wine quotas for Bulgaria

An agreement was signed in Brussels on February 22 between Bulgaria and the European Union (EU) on mutual preferential trade concessions concerning certain types of wines.
The document, according to Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry, increases the quota for duty-free import into the EU of certain Bulgarian wines, laid down in an agreement signed in March 2001. ...
