| Erlin Township in central Taiwan's Changhua County was once known as the island's wine grape kingdom. In 1997, the Erlin grape growers' golden muscat and black queen grapes -- the former one crossbreed of Vitis vinivera Muscat Hamburg and Vitis Labrusca-Diamond, the latter one crossbreed of Vitis vinifera L and Vitis labruscana Bailey -- earned them US$125 million in revenues.
