If the dining scene at the new Santo on Lincoln Road is anybody's idea of hot, then consider me chilled to the bone. This therefore-called ''saint'' offers one of the Beach's most sinister displays of service and food I have ever encountered. I've gotten better food at strip clubs. On one night at the outdoor tables, my husband and I endured the unrelenting waft of smoke from cheap cigars while nearby rail-thin girls sniffled into napkins and chain-smoking Marlboro Lights but barely touched the platters of ice-cold calamari. ... |
