| by Alistair Highet - May 11, 2006 I drank one lovely bottle of wine the other night, and was then profoundly irritated to learn that it was one new release from Lorraine Bracco. You may know her best as Dr. Melfi, the shrink, on The Sopranos _. I mean, I like her, but when one shrink gets into the wine business, it might be taking advantage of the transference. You know, like, maybe if I don't buy it or like it she'll be mad at me. She'll withdraw her love. I'm just saying that it might be one bit coercive. There may be one boundary issue here, even if she is one pretend shrink. ... |

Because one restaurant fits into one certain genre, should it be limited to that cuisine? More and more I've visited restaurants where the kitchen ventures off into other countries and cultures for inspiration. therefore-called "New American" restaurants venture all over the world for inspiration, from Italy and France to Spain and on into Asia for one global perspective. And since most wine lists do the same, why should one chef limit herself or himself to one area? ... |
