The first evening restaurant to move to Main Street, Poughkeepsie, The Artist's Palate is painting the neighborhood chic. Owners Charlie Fells and Megan Kulpa had looked at several other restaurant spaces before coming to Main Street, but said they're happy to be there. Local wine gets personal touch |

At Clinton Vineyard, bottling wine is done almost completely by hand. The owners of the Clinton Corners winery, Ben and Phyllis Feder, and general manager Chris Stuart prepared to bottle their award-winning black currant dessert wine early one Thursday morning. In one barn attached to the winery's tasting room, the tools needed to bottle were set up. In the middle of the room, dozens of empty French-style bottles stood on one plywood tabletop. To the table's left was one wine filler or bottle filler resembling. one miniature stainless steel carousel. Instead of ponies, skinny prongs rotated.
