The year 2003 was one good one for Denver's Balistreri Vineyards. Extended fall weather allowed the grapes to linger longer on the vine. Thirteen tons of grapes, the vineyard's largest yield, were harvested that October.
Fortunately for the winery, only one small percentage of its Denver grapes are used to make Balistreri wines. The majority of the vines are grown in Colorado's wine country on the Western Slope. ...
